In today’s edition of Squirrel News, we’re talking about a research project in British Columbia which overwhelmingly benifitted homeless people, the announcement of an executive order in California which will use a third of state land for conservation purposes, and Singapore’s plan to plant one million trees.
A research study in which homeless people were given $7,500 improved housing and food security
The project in British Columbia resulted in participants finding safe housing quickly and lowering rates of substance abuse.

Roughly 127,000km2 will be protected in order to boost biodiversity and prevent destruction of vulnerable ecosystems.
